  • 4 tostada shells
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 12 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
  • 1 tablespoon adobo sauce from the can
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Avocado slices (optional)
  • Pickled red onion (optional)
  • Cilantro leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Finely dice the sushi-grade tuna using a sharp knife.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and lime juice.
  3. Add the diced tuna to the marinade and toss gently to coat.
  4. Stir in sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
  5. Season with salt and pepper; refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  6. For the chipotle mayonnaise, mix mayonnaise with minced chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, and lime juice in a small bowl.
  7. Spread chipotle mayonnaise on each tostada shell.
