  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple (very well drained)
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 36 maraschino cherries
  • 2 (10 oz) packages white melting wafers
  • Toasted unsweetened shredded coconut (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.
  2. Crush Golden Oreos with powdered sugar in a food processor until fine crumbs form.
  3. Add softened cream cheese and blend until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in drained crushed pineapple and shredded coconut.
  5. Chill the mixture for about 20 minutes to firm up.
  6. Scoop out truffle filling, placing a maraschino cherry in each scoop; shape into balls.
  7. Freeze shaped truffles for another 20 minutes while melting white chocolate wafers.
  8. Dip each truffle into melted chocolate, then sprinkle with toasted coconut before the chocolate sets.
  9. Allow chocolate to harden at room temperature before serving.
