  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups fresh cheese tortellini
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. In a large pot, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned (6–8 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté garlic until fragrant (30 seconds), then add red pepper flakes.
  3. Pour in chicken broth while scraping up any bits from the bottom. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add tortellini and cook until tender (4–6 minutes).
  5. Return chicken to the pot, stir in Parmesan cheese until melted, and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
