  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 8 ounces raspberries

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, and 1 cup of sugar. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Blend raspberries with 2 tablespoons of sugar; strain through a fine mesh sieve for a smooth puree.
  3. Pour the cooled base into an ice cream maker and churn until soft serve consistency.
  4. Divide the mixture into two parts; mix one with orange juice and food coloring, the other with lime juice and green food coloring.
  5. Layer the mixtures in a container alternately, then freeze for 4-6 hours until firm.
