  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 large egg (or 1 tbsp flaxseed meal + 3 tbsp water for vegan option)
  • Fresh cilantro (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the black beans until the water runs clear.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onions in oil for about 3 minutes until soft, then add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
