  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil + 1 teaspoon (separated)
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 1/2 cups green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth (or water)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons corn starch
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim and cut green beans into 1-inch pieces; chop chicken into bite-sized chunks.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and season with salt and pepper; cook until browned (5–7 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add another teaspoon of vegetable oil if necessary. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Add green beans; cook until tender-crisp (3–4 minutes).
  4. Return chicken to the skillet, then mix broth, soy sauce, honey, corn starch, salt, and pepper in a bowl before pouring it over chicken and beans.
  5. Stir until everything is well coated; cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until heated through.
