  • 4 carrots, sliced

  • 810 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup uncooked wild rice (rinsed)
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • ¼ cup flour (gluten-free optional)
  • ½ cup half-and-half
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • Italian seasoning to taste
  • thyme to taste
  • parsley to taste
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp cracked pepper

Instructions

  1. Dice the onion, chop the carrots and celery, and mince the garlic.
  2. Layer the chicken at the bottom of the slow cooker and add seasonings along with the vegetables.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and rinsed wild rice; toss in a bay leaf.
